The U.S. Democratic National Committee recently passed a resolution in support of Taiwan’s meaningful participation in international organizations in commemoration of forty years of the Taiwan Relations Act. Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked the DNC on Monday, saying that the resolution showed the Democratic Party’s commitment to U.S.-Taiwan relations. The MOFA also acknowledged the support for Taiwan shown by both the U.S. Congress and Republican Party this summer, saying Taiwan would continue to work closely with both U.S. parties. <Accessed 2019-08-27>
