Hong Kong Police Draw Guns in Latest Protest Violence

(Associated Press, By Kelvin Chan and Kin Cheung) Clashes erupted Sunday night as Hong Kong protesters blocked streets and threw gasoline bombs, and police fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse protesters. Hong Kong police eventually drew their guns and brought out water cannon trucks after protesters attacked officers with sticks and rods. Violent clashes on Saturday and Sunday ended a brief period of peaceful protests in Hong Kong. <Accessed 2019-08-25>
