China Lodges Protest Against Taiwan President’s U.S. Visits

Following the announcement that President Tsai Ing-wen will spend four nights in the United States on her way to visit Caribbean allies, China has lodged a protest with the U.S. government. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said Monday that it sees this transit as a violation of the “One-China Principle”.
