U.S. Senators Reintroduce Draft Bill on Taiwan's Global Recognition

(CNA, By Chiang Chin-yeh and Frances Huang) 4 U.S. senators reintroduced the draft Taiwan Allies International Protection and Enhancement Initiative Act (TAIPEI Act) to ensure Taiwan's international recognition in light of China's increasing efforts to isolate Taiwan internationally. The draft bill states that the U.S. government should help Taiwan in gaining participation in international organizations and express U.S.' support for Taiwan's international participation when interacting with China. <Accessed 2019-05-26>
